The midwifery model of care is provided through 8-10 prenatal visits to include all routine screenings, labs, and ultrasounds. If it is desired, the midwife may attend the planned hospital birth for an additional fee, or a doula may be recommended. After giving birth, it’s essential to have the right support for both the mother and baby. This service continues to also include four to six postpartum visits that can begin as soon as desired after birth, focused on health checks for the mother and baby, lactation support, and screening for postpartum depression. 

The care will provide referrals and resources for additional postpartum support as indicated. Postpartum care is vital to recovery and ensuring the well-being of both mother and child.
