
Ashley Jungjohan is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and Licensed Midwife (LM). She is trained in newborn resuscitation. (NRP), basic life support (BLS), trauma-informed care, birth emergency skills, resolving shoulder dystocia, spinning babies, and most recently, functional maternity care. She began caring for women and babies in 2018 as a birth and postpartum doula and started her midwifery studies with Mercy in Action College of Midwifery in 2020. Ashley graduated from Mercy in Action College of Midwifery with her Bachelor of Science in Midwifery in 2023. After graduation, she continued as a staff midwife at West Michigan Midwifery, a practice near Grand Rapids, MI, for a year before launching her own practice in 2025. Ashley continues to work in midwifery education as a Clinical Administrative Assistant/Teaching Faculty with Mercy in Action College of Midwifery. She is a Master Trainer in Helping Babies Breathe and Helping Mothers Survive and believes in improving maternal and newborn health outcomes at the local, regional, and global levels. Ashley has been married for over 20 years, and together, they have five children whom they have homeschooled. She enjoys nature walks, camping, beach trips, theater, and spending time with friends and family.
